Mammoth Mountain App Reviews

Ticket reload needs some work

Tracker is great. But having to re-enter reload able card number and credit card every purchase is a waste of users time. App should keep track of that info.

Facebook

Dont like the fact you have to use Facebook to activate so many features. Otherwise. App is handy.

Nice try, but needs improvement

Some of the features were interesting, but the 2 most important things were lacking. Trail maps are too small on phone and there was no information about shuttle transportation.

Has worked great!!!

Hopefully it will continue to get better

Mammoth app

Love peaking the cameras!

Ugh! Still subpar

As great as the mountain and the staff are, the mobile app is really a letdown. The refresh rates are terrible, and the chairlift updates are not fed into the app in real time. And data is inconsistent, especially regarding wind and temperature. It would be nice to see information on lift line waiting times as well. Overall the app does not feel like anything more than the website, something you check in the morning but cant depend on to provide live, useful data as the day progresses. Needs work!

Great feature

Love this app. The downside is the mph tracker makes me go a little too fast to beat my previous records!

Great for pre trip dreaming

I use this app alot to see how the snow is, what trails are open before i go. Once there it is great to see what trails are groomed. Keep up the good work

Could be much better...

Trail map is too small to be functional on a phone. Lift info doesnt update in realtime even when refreshed. I use this app to check the conditions before I arrive but once there it isnt very useful.

Rockin app

Real time updates. Very useful and fun.

Great app!

Easy to use and works...

Solid app

Must have app if you are going to Mammoth!!!

Great app

Love the app. The tracking tool is a lot of fun to use and I love that you can get updates and lift status in real time.

So awesome

The tracking feature is amazing and fun. Must have app if going to mammoth

Great real time app

Appreciate the real time aspects of the app for everything from lift status, weather & live cams. Enjoying tracking & maps too. Keep up the good work Mammoth!

Ok, but with serious issues.

Issue- Poor usage of background processing leading to reduced battery life. On and off the mountain. While the app is stable and functions as advertised, it does so at an enormous cost: battery life. On the mountain it drains so much as to be useless for a whole days skiing. Off the mountain it continues to drain batteries until the OS actually informed me that this app was consuming too much battery and suggested that I disable background processing. The features the app offers are a good start, however the app is burdened with an unintuitive user experience and confusing and dated design that is often inconsistent in its patterns. On another note posting to Facebook appears to be broken. There are also so many social opportunities that could be leveraged (especially considering the mammoth tourist demographic) but first, please fix these technical and design issues.

Terrible

Old app was way better. Dont know when or if lift is going to open and status is often incorrect.

Fun application

Just downloaded. Finding friends on the mountain is easy and a cool feature. Also cool that you can email your runs to yourself!

El Niño!!

Going to be using this app a lot this year to get my season tracking totals! Also use it a lot for snow forecasts. The powder alerts are an intriguing feature that I plan to check out

Love it- but...

I constantly use this app during the snowboard season. I love the weather reports, cams and use the trail map all the time. My biggest complaint is the poorly managed lift status. On windy days its extremely useful to know what lifts are on a weather hold and what lifts are open. More often than not I will look at the app to find out that a lift is on hold when its actually open!!! This happens so often that I dont even use this feature any more. My guess is that whoever they have working for them is not staying on top of things. Perhaps they should hire a new techie.
